Gas is so expensive now I don’t fill up anymore—I just put in an amount that feels emotionally manageable and drive away… like I’ve narrowly escaped a monster. Sound familiar?

China is in the horror news again.  This time Chinese scientists have engineered plants that glow in the dark.  They say these plants will eventually be used to light cities. All I can say is when the new vegetation starts chiming “Feed me, Seymour,” I’m pulling out the weed whacker.

  • CinemaCon spilled blood (the good kind).
    Studios rolled out trailers, remakes, and “totally necessary” reboots at CinemaCon 2026—including fresh looks at upcoming horror titles and franchise extensions. Because nothing says originality like digging up another corpse… and giving it a sequel.

  • Festival horror is quietly sharpening the knife.
    The Overlook Film Festival showcased a wave of indie nightmares hunting distribution deals. If this festival has anything to do with the famous hotel—Yikes!

  • New nightmare incoming: road trip edition.
    A trailer dropped for Passenger, a horror film where a simple trip goes very, very wrong.

  • Date Night just got homicidal.
    Over Your dead Body officially hit theaters this weekend. This marks Jason Segel’s return to big screen comedy… but with knives, betrayal, and relationship goals you absolutely shouldn’t emulate.

  • Streaming platforms quietly double down on horror.
    If it feels like every service suddenly has “one creepy thing you didn’t notice,” you’re not wrong. Horror remains one of the safest bets in the algorithm casino.
