Manhunter is getting one more hunt.
Michael Mann has revisited his 1986 thriller with Manhunter: The Final Cut, heading back to theaters for the film's 40th anniversary. Hannibal Lecter has now had almost as many cuts as a slasher victim.Mike Flanagan returns to Stephen King.
If anyone has earned the keys to Stephen King's house, it's Mike Flanagan. Fresh off The Life of Chuck, the horror filmmaker continues talking about his long-term plans for King's Dark Tower universe—a project fans have been waiting decades to see done right. If anyone can make us fear a train station and cry in the same scene, it's probably Flanagan.
Eli Roth is taking horror back to the bookshelf.
Most horror filmmakers are trying to get books turned into movies. Eli Roth is doing the opposite.
Roth just announced a new publishing partnership through The Horror Section that will produce original horror novels, graphic novels, and interactive books beginning in 2027. Apparently, he believes there are still plenty of nightmares that don't need a movie budget to keep you awake.
