Good morning,

Spring is in the air. If your allergies haven’t kicked up yet… don’t worry. Mother Nature is just loading the weapon. Soon your eyes will itch, your nose will run, and you’ll question every life decision that led you outside.

🩸TODAY’S TERROR — ARTIFICAL ARTISTS

The #44 artist on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart is a singer who doesn’t exist. 10 million people fell in love with her despite knowing she isn’t real. Scientists say we’re literally wired to respond to melody and rhythm, and not wired to care so much about who created them. I think Taylor Swift would disagree.

🩸RECENT HORROR NEWS

  • A new animated spin-off of Stranger Things is creeping onto Netflix, set between Seasons 2 and 3—with mutated plants, zombie pumpkins, and something called a snow shark. Yes… nature is now officially against us.

  • Monitor gets picked up by Searchlight Pictures – The buzzy SXSW horror film Monitor from Matt Black and Ryan Polly just landed a deal with Searchlight. The film follows a cursed video that spreads from device to device, stalking anyone who watches it… Because apparently doomscrolling wasn’t dangerous enough… now your phone might actually be watching you.

  • Netflix just dropped a hurricane + shark horror mashup called Thrash that shot to #1… and critics are already circling it like, well, sharks.

  • Pop star Charli XCX just landed her first real horror film role in Faces of Death—a movie about people who watch violent content for a living. So… basically YouTube comments, but cinematic.
