Good morning,

Today we're celebrating Día de los Muertos — the Day of the Dead! A beautiful tradition of honoring those who've passed. Flowers, food, music, and memories.

Let’s just hope the guests of honor don’t actually show up.

🩸SHOULD WE BE SCARED?

Flying Cars? What Could Possibly Go Wrong? 🚗💀

Doroni, a fast-growing company determined to put flying cars in our skies by 2028, has unveiled its H1-X model, giving media, investors, and guests their first chance to get up close and personal with the aircraft.

Industry analysts predict the flying-car industry could soar to a staggering $9 trillion by 2050.

Terrific. We can barely manage a four-way stop, and now we're adding a third dimension.

Imagine a ten-car pileup at 2,000 feet. Suddenly, Final Destination isn't a horror movie. It's a driver's-ed video.

Should We Be Scared? Maybe not. But the next time someone tells you the sky's the limit, you might want to duck. 👀

🩸 RECENT HORROR NEWS

  • Art the Clown Has Found New Victims—Us

Art the Clown is officially invading the video game world. The Terrifier villain and Sienna Shaw are joining the hugely popular multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight, with a new trailer.

Players can now experience Art's particular brand of hospitality firsthand.

It seems watching Art the Clown murder people wasn't enough. Now we want to participate.

  • A Haunted Camera Is Heading to Hollywood

The terrifying video game MADiSON is being developed into a feature film by Story Kitchen.

The original game follows a young man forced to participate in a demonic ritual, armed with an instant camera that reveals things nobody should ever have to photograph.

Finally, a camera that captures something even worse than your driver's license photo.

  • Fresh Meat: The Next Generation of Horror Is Here

The popular horror YouTube channel Dead Meat has turned its attention to discovering tomorrow's horror filmmakers.

Its new anthology, Fresh Meat, features 13 short horror films selected from more than 500 submissions. The best part, the filmmakers received $2500 each, and audiences could vote for a favorite to win $25,000.

Hollywood, take note. You can now discover new talent without making another sequel to a sequel. And trust me, there’s nothing we love more than new horror.

🩸NEWSWORTHY NUMBER

12

That's the number of documented historical accounts examined in a scientific study of New England's 19th-century vampire panic.

Terrified families believed their dead relatives were rising from their graves and draining the life from the living. Some even dug up bodies and burned their hearts to stop the attacks.

The real culprit? Tuberculosis.

Apparently, blaming your relatives for everything doesn't end when they die.

🩸 OFF THE CLOCK

THE CASE OF T-BONE'S MYSTERY VACATION 🕵️

Last week, T-Bone told us he was heading to Asheville, North Carolina, for a little R&R.

Then he sent us this photo.

Now, we're no geography experts, but we're pretty sure Asheville isn't located in the middle of a Tennessee Volunteers football game.

We're not saying T-Bone owes us an explanation about his vacation. We're just saying his alibi has more holes than the average slasher victim.

We'd ask him to explain, but we've seen enough horror movies to know what happens when you start asking questions.

You ask him.

“Talk to the dead. Don't wait for answers”

Insidious Chapter 3 — Streaming On: Netflix

“The secret to workplace productivity”

Kombucha — Streaming on: Screambox

A struggling artist stuck in a dead-end office job discovers a mysterious drink that dramatically improves productivity. Unfortunately, the side effects are grotesque. This wickedly funny body-horror satire proves there's something worse than working nine to five: becoming the company's most valuable employee.

Comfort Horror Pick of The Week

“The neighbors are acting suspicious”

The Burbs (1989) — Streaming On: Tubi

Tom Hanks stars in this wonderfully twisted suburban horror-comedy about a group of nosy neighbors convinced that the mysterious new family on their block is up to something sinister. Proof that sometimes the scariest thing in your neighborhood isn't the house next door. It's the people watching it.

 🩸FINAL SIP

Well, Halloween is over. The decorations are coming down, the candy is disappearing, and the monsters are crawling back into their hiding places.

Except for the ones who live next door.

Those are year-round.
